    Increase Traffic To Your Website…

    Nov. 30th 2011

The methods for increasing website traffic I mentioned in this article are just some of the many other ways available in the internet. The most successful are those that entail newsletters and ezine articles and link exchanges with other websites. You decide which method .

The best way to get traffic to your website is to be at the top of the results page of a search engine. Since there can only be one at the top for every search query, your being actually there is next to impossible with the millions of sites and billions of articles contained within the internet.

However, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t strive to be part of the top ten in a results page. A good way, to rise through the rankings of search results is by having an article in each page of your website that contains at least 250++ words. This article should contain keywords and relevant content about your website or your product.

Link exchange programs are like merchant clans or chambers of commerce and industry. By being part of a link exchange program, you agree to display the links of other partner sites in your website. The links that will be placed in your website are those links that lead to other websites that are in the same category as your website.

For example, if you have a gaming website, then most of your links will be other gaming sites as well. In return for placing their links on your site, they will reciprocate by placing a link on their webpage to your site. How does this increase traffic to your site? If in a search query, one of your partner sites shows up but yours does not, the searcher is redirected to that site. If your partner site does not have the product or idea needed by the searcher, then the searcher will probably click on the link to a partner site. There’s no guarantee that the link will be yours, but it gives you a chance.

Banner exchanges work much like link exchanges but you will need more space on your website to accommodate other website banners. If you are obsessive when it comes to the cosmetics of your website, then you probably won’t want this one. With so many banners flying around, you can get to look like the United Nations. Be that as it may, a potential active link is still one point in favor of your site being visited by someone.

Ezine article writing and newsletters are another way to herd some website traffic in your direction. You write hundreds, even thousands, of articles to saturate the web. Embedded within these articles are links to your website. Having all those articles around is much like having mini-websites scattered all over strategic places.

With these articles, you can also give the reader an option to subscribe to your newsletters. If they accept, then you are right at their front door ready to make your sales pitch (email presentations in this case).

If you want it all to yourself, you can turn your site into something similar to Wikipedia. The only difference is that you have merchandise to sell on each page of your website while Wikipedia does not. Using this method, you are guaranteed a top ten placement in any search engine in the internet. Of course, this would mean a lot of work. But if you really want good money, then you have to give good effort.

Email Is The Road To Better Relationships

    Nov. 29th 2011

Email marketing makes way for better relationships with customers and prospects. There are a variety of ways that this can be achieved. It starts with the building of quality addresses. Here it is very important to go for targeting and to shun the temptation to prefer huge lists over smaller targeted ones.

Actually the smaller the niche you are targeting the higher your chances of success through email marketing. Even if it takes you a long time to build such a list, it will always be well worth your time at the end of the day.

There are various additional online tools that help a great deal in the building up of relationships. For instance software that reminds you of important dates in relation to your email list. This includes birthdays, anniversaries and the date the client made the first purchase. This special day can be commemorated in all sorts of creative ways that will help cement your relationship with members of your email list.

    Relevant Content Brings Quality Traffic

    Nov. 29th 2011

Don’t sacrifice the quality of your website content for quantity of traffic. It almost serves no purpose anyway and only gets the search engines enraged.

The struggle between literate, grammatically correct article composition and keyword seeding should not exist at all. Search engines are able to figure out the relevance of the content on your website to a user’s query. Therefore, an article filled with a jumble of keywords will have lesser relevance than a well-written article containing lesser keywords.

Internet marketers who need SEO articles commonly require grammatically correct and literate compositions from SEO writers like me. The more I read and write about how search engines function and how they equate relevance with a high search result ranking, the more I strive to place overall composition above keyword content.

With relevant articles on your website pertaining to your products, ideas or services, you get more chances of directing the correct kind of surfer traffic to your website. Of course, this will mean a decrease in bulky but irrelevant traffic.  However, as a search engine user, I find it annoying to see search results that have no connection to what I need to find.

Admittedly, most web masters prefer bulk traffic over highly relevant web traffic. The more the merrier, so to speak. In my experience, surfing the web without any purpose becomes tedious.  It gets even more tedious as your experience in web surfing grows. Nowadays, I specifically surf the web with a purpose in mind. Armed with that purpose, I single-mindedly search for what I need.

It would help me to find what I need faster if the descriptive content of your website were relevant to my search. Having a nicely composed descriptive article about the idea or object I am seeking will make your website more useful to me. Because your website has been highly informative and usable, I will return there again to see if you have something that I need.

In having relevant and highly descriptive articles, your website satisfies two totally different necessities. The more relevant necessity for you would be a high ranking search result. The lesser, and often times unnoticed necessity, is that of having satisfied your customer.

The more relevant your content is, the more chances you have of being able to direct your target market to your website. The percentage of people who buy your product will definitely increase as opposed to a decrease in just passing thru or wrong turn traffic. In counterpoint, the more relevant traffic you get, the higher your sales figures go up.

Targeting traffic that isn’t really interested in your website almost serves no purpose. I definitely won’t try to remember the name of a website that has nothing of what I need. Memory retention of a website by people is very much minimal unless it has served the people well. Furthermore, to be redirected to an irrelevant website by a search engine is very much an annoyance.  These websites that bombard their content with nothing but keywords are now getting penalized and banned by search engines so that they can avoid sending people to the wrong place.

How would you feel if directory assistance gave you the wrong listing? Naturally, the supervisor at directory assistance will reprimand the agent who gave the wrong listing. It’s the same thing with search engines and web site. Search engines are trying to provide internet surfers with good service in order to gain more traffic. The more traffic they have, the more expensive their advertising space becomes. Along comes a web master who abuses their system so that all traffic is directed to his website. How do you think a search engine operator will react to or against the evil web master?

    Important Strategies To High Rankings

    Nov. 29th 2011

Keywords or phrases are tools used in internet marketing to achieve better rankings in search engines. At a certain point in time, webmasters abused this system by saturating the content of their websites with keywords to be able to achieve a high ranking. However, this resulted in search engine users getting results that had no relevance whatsoever to their query. To combat this abuse, search engine webmasters developed algorithms to decipher which websites have relevant content and which websites did not. Now, the whole focus for keyword utilization has shifted to content rich articles with a keyword ratio average of about 12% of the whole article.

The whole reason for this shift in keyword utilization stems from the fact that search engine sites track and record the abuse of keywords. If you happen to have an article of 500 words containing nothing but the word “porn”, chances are your site will be banned from the search engine.

This shift has also created a whole new industry in writing.  You will definitely be able to get a few odd jobs writing search engine optimized (SEO) articles.

The key to writing good SEO articles is to be true to the subject at hand. Make sure that your SEO article contains relevant information and a substantial proportion of keyword scattered throughout the article. Include a keyword or phrase in the title of your article. Include a minimum of 2 keywords or phrases in the beginning and ending paragraphs of your article.  Finally, scatter keywords in the body of your article. If you have a 500 word article, a minimum of 1 keyword or phrase per paragraph in the text body is recommended.

Write your article for your product, not for the sake of keywords. As you go on with your article, you will be using your keywords when you describe your product and when you give out instructions on how to use the product. Write about how the product came into existence and how it has developed through the years. Cite instances where the product has been particularly useful to you or to an acquaintance.

When writing the article, do not force the keyword issue. Your articles must be forthright, literate, easy and entertaining to read. Some writers sacrifice grammar for the sake of a keyword placement. Don’t do that. When searchers are directed to an article of yours and it happens to contain spelling errors, wrong grammar and a generally sloppy composition, they might decide to look for another article or website that contains more nicely written content.

If you are unable to compose your own article because of time constraints, you can use freelance websites to hire article writers who will do the job for you. Prices for an original SEO article containing 500 to 750 words max range anywhere from $1 to 15$. Just be sure to communicate well with the writers so that they fully understand what you require. Ask for previous work samples so you can judge whether their skills are up to your standards. If you come across a writer offering his service rather cheaply, don’t rush in and call yourself lucky. The best way to be sure that you have found a cheap but quality conscious worker is to ask him to provide one article to you. In exchange you will pay him for that one article and use it as criteria for judging his qualifications.

Try writing an article yourself before hiring it out to someone else. You of all people should know how the article must read.

    Money Making Opportunities

    Nov. 28th 2011

This isn’t a get rich quick scheme. Times are hard and we need all the financial assistance we can get. This is just one option where you can possibly earn a lot more than your current income.

The majority of the world’s working population perform their jobs in offices and most of the world’s working population do not like their jobs because, well, who wants to work? So, if you don’t like to work but have to work anyway, why stick yourself into a job with low pay? The best solution would be to find a high-paying job, work hard and then start your own business if you can. The problem is, even with a high paying job, you can’t earn enough money to start a business.

The World Wide Web, being an economy in itself, offers a variety of opportunities for making money. You can try your hand at freelance jobs like data encoding, medical transcription, article composition and programming. There are a number of freelancer websites that you can join so you may work at home and put some extra money in your pocket. Start-up capital = $0

There are supposedly expert moneymakers who, for a small fee of $100 to $200 will teach you how to earn $2,000 to $10,000 a month. You can try out their system for free, but, you will have to place a deposit to be able to get the free trial. Start-up capital = $49 to $100 depending on deposit requirements.

Finally, you can be a passive internet salesperson. I call it passive because all you have to do is establish a base of operations in the internet. Once that base has been established, you have the potential to earn from $0 to unlimited income. All you have to do afterwards is maintain or update that base once every three months. And yes, this advice is free. No trial offers, and no deposits required.

Vendor sites offer internet surfers the opportunity of earning additional income in exchange for the promotion of their website and products. This is how it works.  You will need to sign-up for affiliate membership. Most vendor sites that offer affiliate programs do not charge you for this.  This is only fair since you will be selling them to people. Be wary of vendor sites that charge fees for membership to their affiliate programs.

Once you join-up, they will give you a reference number or an ID number that you will paste into your html scripts. Your vendor site will give you instructions on how to paste them.

Normally, an affiliate will have to have a website where they can promote the vendor site. You will promote the vendor site by adding links to the site’s home page and some specific products which you think will sell more. You will need to design your website to accommodate these links as well as alter some of your websites graphics to make way for banners, or picture links.  Don’t forget to add the ID or reference number to the link so that the vendor can identify your referral.

Once you have the links in place, you will need to write some 250++ words about the product you are selling. I recommend allotting 1 web page per product as this will help you in search engine result rankings. The content you write will have to be relevant and filled with keywords that pertain to the product itself. Once everything is done, you need to find out if your website shows up in search engine queries when browsing for your product.

If you think this is too much work, you can try writing newsletters about a product on a vendor site that contains links to the product. You then post the newsletter on the internet and hope that a search engine indexes it.

The problem with most affiliates is that they don’t last long because they fail to maintain and update their product links. Some of the products that you have linked to before may have already been discontinued. You need to check on your links at least once every 3 months or once a month at optimum.

Finally, don’t be content with what you have and keep looking for additional products to sell.

Easy To Create Email Marketing Campaigns

    Nov. 27th 2011

Email marketing is a very effective way to reach your customers.  It will also help you increase the traffic to your website and improve sales.

How do you develop an effective email marketing campaign? After all, what you send to your customers is very important. If it isn’t well designed or professional looking the results could be damaging to your business instead of beneficial.

The first part of the email marketing campaign needs to include your goals. What do you expect to achieve from your email marketing campaign? Who do you want to reach? You should also decide what type of marketing you are going to do. Will it be random discounts and promotions, seasonal, or will you be sending a regular newsletter? Next you will need to do some research. Do you know the email marketing laws? What are the current market trends? How are you going to make your email marketing campaign more appealing than that of the competition?  You have to have these goals clearly defined and outlined.  Otherwise your will just spin your wheels while developing your email marketing campaign.

Since the goals of many businesses are very different, the strategies they use in email marketing will also be very different. While this gives each business the ability to be creative and unique in developing their marketing campaign, it also makes it difficult because there are no clear cut answers.  If you aren’t skilled in developing email marketing campaigns you will need to purchase email marketing software or hire an email marketing consultant.

How well do you know your customer? I hope well because this is a very important part of developing an effective email marketing campaign. You have to be able to address your key audience by providing them with relevant information. If they aren’t interested in what you have to say then it doesn’t matter how many emails you manage to send out.

Once you have decided on your email marketing campaign you may think you are ready to hit the send button, but hold on just a little bit longer. Make sure everything in the email is spelled correctly and grammatically correct. Nothing looks more unprofessional than an email marketing campaign will errors.  They will stick out like a sore thumb. Remember to test the effectiveness of the email on the various email service providers as they all have variations. You will be disappointed to discover that subscribers to a particular service weren’t able to open your email for it to read properly.

Make sure the subject line of your email is clear and effective.  This will help your email marketing campaign to get past the various spam filters and virus protectors. Many researchers of email marketing believe the subject line will make or break the reader’s decision to open your email. Make sure you personalize the email and address it to the consumer rather than a broad introduction. You will want to attach a clear expiration date to your email marketing promotion. Nothing motivates the consumer than having a deadline. They don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to take advantage of what you are offering.

Email marketing is a great opportunity for you to communicate with your customers and to promote your business. It is very important that you take the time to set your goals and to know the market before you develop your email marketing campaign.

This will ensure it is successful. While you want your email marketing strategy to be unique and creative you need to keep the wants and needs of the customer in mind. You can choose to develop your email marketing strategy on your own, using software, or by hiring a consultant.

Email Marketing Is Advantageous In The Following Ways

    Nov. 27th 2011

Email marketing is one of the most common as well as most successful marketing methods available. Email marketing is a great way to reach a volume of people quickly and inexpensively.

Email marketing is a wonderful way to reach large amounts of customers in a short amount of time. This is a very inexpensive marketing method that is effective. It will result in getting more traffic to your website thus generating more sales. Email marketing can be used by any type of business regardless of the products or services they have to offer.

One huge advantage of email marketing is that it can be effective for both large and small businesses. When it comes to regular commerce, the larger company can afford to print up colorful fliers and ads. This is much harder for smaller businesses due to the expense. Email marketing can be done using software so that even small businesses can create effective and professional looking email marketing campaigns on a small budget. This will hopefully help them increase their sales.

Email marketing is an effective way to deliver the information you want to get to consumers in the method they enjoy using.  Most everyone has email these days and it is common to log on and check for messages several times each day. It also allows you the opportunity to reach consumers around the globe. There are no boundaries when it comes to location with this method of marketing.

On average email marketing costs 78% less than other types of marketing. This savings is after the cost of research, testing, and sending the emails. It also takes the cost of consulting into consideration. Email marketing consulting is often less expensive than other marketing consultants. This means you can choose to save money or maybe invest more but reach more people.  In addition to saving money, you save valuable time. Your emails can be scheduled to go out at times when you are out of the office or working on other projects.

To appeal to your consumers, email marketing allows you to use graphics, games, music, videos, and other types of materials to gain their interest. This is something most other marketing concepts don’t allow. Sure, they offer one or two choices but it seems like everything is possible with email marketing concepts.  Since you have the name and purchasing history of the individual, you can personalize the email. This makes the customer feel more trusting towards you as well as more loyal to the company. It is much better than getting a piece of mail at home that says dear customer. You will be able to create marketing lists that allow you to send a marketing campaign only to a target market. This is a very effective way of sending different campaigns to different customers.

The process of email marketing gives you tools for measuring the successful of the marketing campaign. You can measure the click through rate, conversion rate, find out how a person linked to your website, and many more ways of analyzing data.

Customers can choose to opt out by clicking the link in your email marketing campaign. This saves you money by knowing who isn’t interested in receiving your information. There is no way to know that with other types of marketing campaigns. For those who are interested in your email marketing campaign, you will see the responses quickly. This is a great way of knowing what is effective for future marketing endeavors.

With the volumes of consumers on the internet everyday it only makes sense to use it from a business point of view. Email marketing is a great opportunity to communicate with your customers. This is an effective way to be able to analyze your marketing tools so you will know what is working and what areas you need to continue improving.

    Build Relationships Through Email Marketing

    Nov. 26th 2011

In this kind of chaotic and demanding environment, one does not need to be a genius to realize how valuable email marketing can be in helping any organization to not only survive but to thrive. The key is to look at email marketing as a way to build relationships before anything else.

Despite all the problems that are usually associated with email and email marketing, this World Wide Web tool has been called the world’s greatest marketing tool. It is important to examine this sweeping statement so as to establish whether this is really true and if the title is one that the controversial email deserves.

It is rapidly emerging that hyper competition in the new uncertain and shaky markets in today’s world has put a lot of pressure on marketing departments everywhere to re-think the way they have always done business.

For instance it is becoming abundantly clear that short-term customer relations are a very risky way to handle any business, and this applies as much to offline enterprises as it does to online ones. The new era of marketing has arrived. It not only calls for long term customer relationships which are important, but it also demands analyses of customer needs through regular contact while observing the reaction and behavior of the client carefully, which is much more valuable and useful than just getting information from a client based on questions posed in some questionnaire.

The advantage of email is that this is probably the only medium through which such a relationship can be established, cultivated and maintained with the greatest of ease. Of course it all starts with the right approach, which is actually the only legitimate one as far as email is concerned. Namely permission-based marketing where emails are sent out only to those who have opted to receive it.
