Use Factory-Direct Home Building Products to Upgrade Your House
My new vacation home has many special features that weren't part of the original house. The homeowner installed these factory-direct home building products as part of a renovation. Everything came rights from the factory at prices well below retail.
The kitchen is the place to be in this house. The floor is quarry tile, and there's a huge butcher block table, perfect for rolling out pastry dough. The cabinets are fabulous! They must be custom made because they fit perfectly. And the wood stain goes great with the floor tile (which, by the way, was also used for the backsplash). The cabinets have special features like shelves that roll in and out for easy access. Even the trash can rolls out when you open the cabinet door. Over the sink there's a heavy-duty yet attractive chrome rack for hanging pots.
Walking into the dining area off the kitchen you see a beam of light pouring over the table. At first you think there's a spotlight shining on the table, but it's actually a skylight. That area was probably very dark before the skylight went in. The skylight has a retractable shade, which helps keep the house cool on hot and sunny days. The guest bathroom also has a skylight. You can open this one, which helps vent the bathroom without running the electric fan.
Like the porch the formal dining room as columns. Of course they are a different style, designed for inside the house. They give an elegant look and feel to what would otherwise be an ordinary room. The walnut table and Oriental rug are perfect for the room, but again, they don't come with the house.
This house was built in the 1950s. The renovations were so expertly done that the house retains its mid-century look but has a fresh and modern feel. It probably looked like every other house on the block before the renovations, but now it has its own unique style. And just about all the new home building products came direct from the factory at very affordable prices.
