Write captions with each photo so you'll remember what you were doing, when, and with whom. If you go shopping with friends or family to look at prom dresses and accessories, take a few photos and write something particular about the day for your scrap book. Be sure to include some funny quotes from your date or friends, newspaper clippings about the prom, the prom's theme, your favorite songs played during the prom, etc.
Your prom scrapbook can also be decorated with your favorite colors and creative drawings or cutouts. Also, don't create your scrapbook until you have lots of items to include. This makes it easier to organize the pages later.
Keep a Prom Journal
A prom journal is your personal account of your prom experience from start to finish. It might include intimate things about your boyfriend, feelings of anxiety you have before and after the prom, your shopping experience, and personal details about your special night. You might also include a "Prom Promise" to yourself to avoid improper relations with your boyfriend, drugs, or alcohol.
Making and recording memories of your prom every step of the way will enhance your prom night tremendously. You'll never regret putting together a scrapbook or journal, but you will surely regret it years later if you don't.
