SALT LAKE CITY, UT - November 8, 2005 - The ZIP-scan(TM) Portable
Scanner introduces the perfect computer companion to the teaching
profession. This revolutionary personal scanner gives teachers and
educators the ability to grade quizzes and tests right at their desk,
during the class hour or even between classes. The ZIP-scan(TM) is a
small portable unit and sits next to the teacher's computer. This
breaks the time-honored tradition of gathering up a day's worth of
test forms and running them through a large scanner that has to be
centrally located because of sheer size and availability to all
departments.

The ZIP-scan(TM) allows immediate grade feedback to the student.
Because the test is scored instantly as it falls through the scanner,
students get their grade and can review missed answers before they
even leave class.

Dean Moody, a Payson, Utah high school teacher has used a prototype
scanner for several years. He explains, "It is so important to review
the test as soon as possible. Students can still retain the correct
answers if reviewed while the questions are still fresh in their
minds. Once they leave the class their minds are focused on other
subjects."

The test results are immediately entered into ZIP-scan's Test
Wizard(TM) software program. These results can be directly imported
into grade book programs, such as Jackson Software LLC's
"GradeQuick(R)", Campusware(TM) "GradeSpeed(R)", Chancery Software
Ltd.'s "WinSchool(R)", Misty City Software Inc.'s "GradeMachine(R)",
and many others. Test summary reports, individual student reports, and
analysis reports are created in Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) Reader(R) format
for viewing and printing. The ZIP- scan(TM) can be shared between
multiple users since the Test Wizard program provided with each unit
has an unlimited user license.

The test forms can be printed on copiers or laser printers and used
forever with no royalty cost. ZIP-scan, Inc. has broken the policy
that users of OMR (Optical Mark Reader) scanners must purchase their
test forms from the scanner manufacturer. This policy has provided
competitors with multi-million dollar profits from the sale of premium
priced forms. Through the use of multiple sheets, tests up to 300
questions are supported.

"Teachers are delighted that using a ZIP-scan(TM) saves them hours
previously spent correcting tests and quizzes and then recording their
scores," said Bruce Allred, President, ZIP-scan, Inc. "ZIP-scan, Inc.
is proud to ease teacher workload while reducing educational operating
costs."

The ZIP-scan(TM) is designed and manufactured in Salt Lake City, Utah,
by ZIP-scan, Inc. The ZIP-scan(TM) multiple choice bubble sheet
scanner is available for $1,995.00 and can be purchased at
