WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, PA - April 16, 2008 - The same company that brought
fashionable medical alert jewelry to teens across the United States
now arms kids that are away from home on camping trips or other
activities with the Camper Alert bracelet.
Hope Paige Designs (HopePaige.com) specializes in keeping kids safe in
medical emergencies through helpful medical alert bracelets, but now
the company is also focusing on a different issue - kids that might
get lost or separated from their group while on camping trips, school
field trips, or other activities away from home.
The Camper Alert bracelet identifies the child's parents and provides
an emergency contact phone number so the parents can be alerted if the
child is located by a citizen, police officer, or emergency personnel
worker. The bracelet has the words "Camper Alert" with a happy face
engraved on the front and the parent information engraved on the back.
Shelly Fisher is one of the founders of Hope Paige Designs. She
states, "We wanted to create bracelets for children that are easy to
notice and easy to wear for every child. That's why the bracelets come
in bright colors and are also waterproof and adjustable."
Though not a medical alert bracelet, the Camper Alert bracelet can
also be worn by special needs children, such as those with Down
syndrome, autism, etc. When children get separated from parents, they
might not be able to recall their phone number or their parents' full
names if frightened. The bracelet provides this information to help
reunite a lost child with his/her family immediately.
The bracelets are designed to be worn during all activities including
camping, hiking, swimming, biking, etc. With the engraving, parents
don't have to worry about the information wearing off during these
activities as they would with printed items. Camper Alert bracelets
are fun to wear for kids of all ages, and they give a parent peace of
mind when their child is away from home.
"The great thing about this product is it is designed by moms for
moms," states co-owner, Lisa Hobyak
