REDONDO BEACH, CA - November 29, 2005 - A new educational game is
revolutionizing the way students develop math skills. The Math Maze
(R)(TM) game is helping kids all over the United States improve their
math skills while also having fun.
Teachers and parents alike are amazed at how easily Math Maze (R)(TM)
enhances a child's skills. In today's busy society, even classroom
time is limited, and many teachers simply don't have the time to
invest in improving each student's skills and one-on-one tutoring can be
difficult to obtain.
That's why Math Maze (R)(TM) was created. The game enables students
to interact with each other while building math skills. As students
master a level of skills, the game progresses to more advanced levels.
Students of any school age group or mathematics level are finding the
game both challenging and rewarding.
One thing that appeals to parents and teachers is that children are not
intimidated by the game. It does not shame those who learn more
slowly, but rather, challenges them.
The game's creator, whose nickname is "Professor G," developed Math
Maze (R)(TM) after observing a heart-breaking scene among his own math
students. He wanted to give students an interactive tool that could
be used for intervention and remediation.
Professor G states, "I witnessed the fact that students who struggle
with advance mathematics usually lacked a mastery of foundation
mathematics skills."
A lack of basic math skills hinders a child's education as he or she
moves up in grade level. Foundation mathematical skills such as addition,
division, multiplication and subtraction are mastered as a child plays
the game, and then integers and fractions are introduced as a player
progresses.
The game cards are printed in English and Spanish. Math Maze(R)(TM)
makes the usually dreaded "drill and practice" session fun for
students, parents and teachers. This tool is being used to help
elementary, middle and high school students.
