In a classic entrepreneurial story of seeing a need and filling
it, co-founders Catherine Bellizzi and Mona Piontkowski started

York in May of 1981 when no such directory existed. All they had
back then was a kitchen table, two portable typewriters, and a
dream. Pepsi-Cola was the first company to buy their workbook of
seminars, and soon the SIS Workbook was in the offices of every

Tiffany & Company, and even the White House.
In 1998 as technology progressed, SIS switched to a CD version of
