HAMILTON, ONTARIO, CANADA - August 4, 2005 - When life throws

today that a unique Christ-centered telephone counseling service is
now helping those in need.
"What is unique about this service is that emotional and spiritual
growth is the dominant paradigm in the care and counseling
relationships we establish with our clients," says Carol Benjamin,
counselor, Bible teacher and founder of Praise Unusual.
Benjamin says she offers the service because she feels a deep kinship
with people who suffer in solitude. "I have had my share of problems,
so painful and so embarrassing that I could hardly speak about it,"
said Carol. "I believe that if we are to minister to those who are
hurting, we must understand the hopelessness, the helplessness, the
shame and often the sense of abandonment that they feel. All I want to
do is to provide a safe haven for people to share their struggles
without feeling threatened or rejected and where they will receive
help to gain the strength and perspective to deal with their life
situation."
Whatever the hurting situation, whether it is the death of a loved
one, family or marital problems and any other situations that might
place an individual under tremendous stress and burdens, Praise

Although regular business hours are from 9:00am until 5:00pm, Monday
through Friday, the counselor office phones are monitored after hours.
There's always a counselor on-call to respond to messages when someone
