Gabrielle Lichterman, Author And Founder Of "Hormonology", Shows Women The
Exact Days Of Their Menstrual Cycle When Lovemaking Will Be Most Enjoyable

NEW YORK, NY - January 20, 2006 - Many women will go to great lengths
to improve their sex life. "But before they head to lingerie shops and
adult toy stores, they may want to do something even more important
for ensuring better sex - check which day of their menstrual cycle
they're on", says Gabrielle Lichterman, author of "28 Days: What Your
Cycle Reveals about Your Love Life, Moods, and Potential" (Adams Media,
May 2005) and founder of "Hormonology", a science-based method that
shows men and women how to predict their day and plan their life
according to their hormone cycle.

"Testosterone is the hormone that affects a woman's libido and sexual
satisfaction. In women with menstrual cycles, testosterone rises and
falls throughout the month, which raises and lowers their sexual
desire, ease of achieving orgasm and intensity of orgasm," explains
Lichterman. The result? "On specific days, women will want and enjoy
sex much more than other days. Knowing ahead of time when these days
will be can help women take advantage of these hormonal effects to
have more fulfilling sexual experiences."

Lichterman outlines the perfect, and not so perfect, days for bedroom
fun in her "Hormonology Guide to Sex", which follows:

The Hormonology Guide to Sex

Testosterone rises and falls throughout a woman's monthly menstrual
cycle, affecting her sexual desire and enjoyment. Here's what sex will
be like for women every day of the month:

Day 1 (first day of menstruation) to Day 14 (ovulation): RED
HOT DAYS - A woman's libido, her ease in reaching orgasm and
intensity of orgasm all increase steadily throughout these
days. That's because testosterone rises during this time of a
woman's cycle, peaking on Day 13 and remaining high on Day 14.

Day 15 to Day 23: LUKEWARM DAYS - Testosterone is at lower
levels on these days, which dampens a woman's sex
drive. What's more, the hormone progesterone is rising and
this can make it more difficult for gals to reach climax.
Women who opt for sex during these days should be prepared to
set aside a longer amount of time to overcome these hormonal
obstacles.

Day 24 to the end of her cycle: BONUS RED HOT DAYS - Here's a
hormonal surprise; testosterone plunges on these days,
yet a woman's libido increases. This unexpected boost has been
attributed to the thickening of the uterine lining, which
stimulates nerve endings and makes a woman feel aroused. NOTE:
Women who engage in sex on these days may want to keep a
bottle of personal lubricant by the bedside. That's because
estrogen is also declining and that can decrease a woman's
natural lubrication, which can make intercourse uncomfortable.

While there are many days and times throughout the month from which to
choose for great sex, Lichterman says there is one ultimate day and
time all couples should pencil into their calendar every month - the
morning of Day 13 of a woman's menstrual cycle.

"The morning is when a man's testosterone peaks in his 24-hour hormone
cycle. And Day 13 is when testosterone peaks in a woman's monthly
hormone cycle. When these two hormonal peaks intersect, they can set
the stage for the best sex all month long," states Lichterman.
