SANTA MONICA, CA - March 6, 2005 — Hair Cafe has introduced
Full Spectrum Color Light Therapy, which uses color vibrations to
balance mind and body. Using light therapy to reduce stress and
create personal well-being is the latest trend on the International
salon & spa scene, and Hair Cafe is the first salon to bring Full
Spectrum Color Light Therapy to the United States in a salon/cafe
environment.
Full Spectrum Color Light Therapy is the latest of many recent
innovations and additions that have made Hair Cafe what Austrian-born
founder and owner, Philippe Schaedler, calls the "salon of the 21st
century."
The therapy is based on the findings from 100 years of scientific
research on the effects of different colors on the human system,
spearheaded by Dr. Max Lüscher whose renowned Lüscher-Color-Diagnostic
has been in clinical use since 1947 and has been translated into 27
languages.
With the Full Spectrum Color Light Therapy, the vibrations of
individual colors are used to help clients with everything from
balancing their physiological system to reducing stress, from calming
nervousness and anxiety to elevating the mood of lethargic or
depressed individuals. The therapy is completely personalized for each
client via a color test and a consultation regarding what effects are
desired, with a specific color treatment then prescribed.
While the Color Light Therapy is the piece de resistance, Hair Cafe

The Color Blast Cafe serves sandwiches, salads, gourmet coffees and

Kaufman, owner of Emil Swiss Bakery. The Cafe offers a sweet trip
back in time with the "Kaiser Kaese Flade", the Austrian emperor's
favorite dessert, a recipe from the National Library in Vienna dating
from 1867.
Reinforcing the salon's commitment to the Full Spectrum Color Light
Therapy, the impact and benefits of color have been made an integral
component of the design and atmosphere of Hair Cafe. The vivid
ambient lighting system uses Intelligent LED Illumination Technology
(ILIT), which is usually used for theatrical and entertainment
industry applications. The frosted, iced glass wall that separates the
hair salon from the Cafe incorporates high-tech colored LED lights and
the indoor and al fresco tables are "light cubes" that glow in
different colors.
