MIAMI, FL - June 23, 2005 - For the beauty obsessed comes a new watch
that discreetly combines the amenities of a powder room at hand's
reach. Aptly named, "Sneak a Peek" by Glamorist Inc., is the very first
watch that tells time and flips open at the touch of a button
revealing a built-in mirror, refillable lip gloss, lipstick and lip
brush compact.
The Sneak a Peek beauty watch collection features ten styles ranging
from classic to colorful and contemporary. Dials are embellished with
sparkling Swarovski crystals on genuine leather croc-embossed straps
available in a wide array of colors. Each Sneak a Peek watch features
a built-in mirror and refillable compact which includes moisturizing
lipstick, complementing lip gloss and lip brush applicator. Refills
easily slip into the watch base and are available in six mint-flavored
shades: nude, pink, bronze, coral, plum and red.
Creators Richard Parnes and Sandra Dufay dreamed up the practical
fashion meets function concept while attending a Paris fashion show in
February 2003.
"There was a precise moment when Sandy and I noticed a slew of women
leaning to the floor, all rummaging through their pocketbooks for
their lipstick and beauty compacts. That's when I turned to Sandy and
said—there has to be a better way," says Parnes.
"We started to experiment and decided of a fashionable way to always
keep makeup at hand - by merging a beauty compact with a time-telling
wristwatch," says Dufay.
It took eighteen long months and several prototypes to develop, but the
entrepreneurial duo charged ahead and proceeded to manufacture the
very first Sneak a Peek samples.
"The hardest part was engineering the discreetness of Sneak a Peek's
design. We finally made it happen and the result is fabulous. This
is the watch that sells itself. People are so amazed by the never-
been-done-before concept...they just have to have one," says Dufay.
Sneak a Peek will carry a suggested retail of per watch and will
soon be available for purchase online at http://www.Glamorist.com and at
select stores nationwide. Lipstick compact refills are available for
.95 for a single color pack of three and can be purchased at retail
