SAN CLEMENTE, CA - August 13, 2005 - Southern California recording
artists Nick Ashton and Tin Rooster have finished recording their
second CD with the help of Nashville recording artists Denny
Hemmingson and John Marcus from Tim McGraw's "Dance Hall Doctors".
This new CD, due out November 15, 2005, has an all-star line up of
musicians and top-notch songwriting by Nick Ashton.
After performing in Nashville during "Fan Fair", the music industry in
Nashville began to take notice of the talented songwriter from
California. Working during the week in California, Nick would take red
eye flights to Nashville to work on the project over a weekend, and
then fly through the night back to California to work on Monday.
Ashton says of his drive to succeed in music, "It's a hard business,
but once it gets into your blood, you can't stop. I feel sometimes
like I'm sort of possessed by the desire to make it in this business.
I've just got to do it."
The CD is being mixed now in Nashville at Platinum Lab recording
Studios by Producer/Engineer Jim Lightman. Lightman worked on Leanne
Womack's "I Hope You Dance" CD and has received multiple Grammy
nominations for his high quality work on other well known projects.
Ashton is currently filming a new video in South Beach Florida titled
"Simple Country Life", which is a new single from the upcoming CD.
Radio tests indicate this song will be a smash hit on contemporary
country and crossover stations. JKTFilm.com is filming the project on
35mm film to add a cinematic feel to the production. JKT has worked on
Jessica Simpson's behind the scenes production and many other known
music artists.
Ashton's current radio promotional work is being done through HMG
Nashville, and they have now begun to chart on the Independent Country
Chart. The song "The One" is currently number 43 on this chart,
published by Power Source Magazine. HMG also released "You're My
Angel" to the Christian country music market in August and this song
is expected to rise quickly on the Christian country music charts, and
crossover to main stream country radio. Each of Ashton's songs are
great stories that are set to music that stick in the mind long after
the CD stops spinning.
