LOUISVILLE, KY - April 19, 2010 - Kris Gebhardt, a native to the
Louisville, Kentucky area discovers "You can go back home" and is
doing so this month by opening an art gallery in downtown Louisville.
After he and his wife Angela, a contemporary artist, searched the
country for the perfect location considering such locals as Miami,
Indianapolis and Chicago, they chose Louisville, Kentucky's NuLu East
Market Art District.
The world-traveled couple said, "It was no question after seeing NuLu.
We looked at the space available and said, on the spot, we'll take it!
It's the perfect fit! We want to be part of this city's art district
rejuvenation!"
No strangers to renovation and community rebuilding, the couple are
part of the group that completed the 0 million French Lick resort
spa and casino project. The force behind the design and
implementation of both the West Baden springs hotel and French Lick
hotel award winning world-class spas, recently named 18th top resort
spas by Condé Nast, the couple also created the hallway, room, and
common area artwork, restoring and reprinting hundreds of historic
photographs.
The couple has recruited local artist Jarret Marshall, an accomplished
painter, to join the gallery. Jarret, a former haunted bed and
breakfast entrepreneur, is known for his emotion invoking portraits
and haunting dark architectural renderings.
Looking to inspire people to think about their bodies and health, the
couple is deeply passionate about promoting body awareness through
the palette and lens creating art that is physically and emotionally
inspiring. The artistic entrepreneurs mix of work includes Angela's
contemporary, abstract, sketch and figure paintings, coupled with
Kris' corporeal and gritty figure/body photography adding an element
of spice to the Louisville market.

Angela was a painter in her youth but had given up painting to build
her business. After selling the business she decided to pick up her
paintbrush again. Angela is also the muse in hundreds of photographs

photograph of Angela that caught attention and inspired the new hit
iPhone app FotoMuse, now sold worldwide through iTunes.
