PATENT OFFICE GRANTS GOODRICH TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION'S
SECOND PATENT FOR THEIR ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CHROME

PITTSBURG, CA - February 14, 2007 - Goodrich Technology Corporation
(GTC) announced today that it has received a composition patent from
the U.S. Patent and Trademark office for it's chrome coating
technology registered as PermaStar chrome. Goodrich Technology was
granted US Patent #7,150,923,923 entitled, "Chrome Coating
Composition" on December 19, 2006.
Gary Goodrich, CEO/President of GTC stated that this composition
patent will fortify the process patent already held by GTC for the
PermaStar Chrome process that was granted in June 2002. Mr. Goodrich
said, "I feel strongly that this technology will replace much of the
bright finish looks on vehicles of all kinds, in addition to
furniture, architectural products, plumbing products etc. We have
recently been approved by Daimler/Chrysler Corporation for use on
exterior car parts, including alloy wheels and are undergoing testing
with most of the major automobile manufacturers. Additionally, our
licensee in Downey, CA, American P.V.D., has recently completed an
expansion of their facility to almost quadruple their production of
the PermaStar Chrome coating."
PermaStar Chrome is currently being applied on many name brand parts
including American Eagle Alloy wheels and Edelbrock intake manifolds.
Mr. Goodrich said that, "The level of interest in PermaStar has been
growing rapidly as more corporations and manufacturers look for ways
to make their operations more profitable environmentally friendly."
