TULSA, OK - August 16, 2007 - When it comes to design services
and outsourcing, the adage "penny wise, pound foolish" rings
true. According to Jimmy Gramblin, owner of and senior designer
at Organi Studios (www.organistudios.com), "Companies are coming
to the realization that, when they use overseas web designers and
animators, the cost savings is simply an illusion." Gramblin
asserts that cultural gaps and language differences lead to
miscommunication and an inability to understand the nuances of a
company's identity and message. "Almost invariably, that results
in cost and time overruns as designs are reworked and refined,"
he said.
The attention to nuance allows Gramblin and his colleagues at the
Tulsa-based Organi Studios, a full service design firm, to
provide their clients with a competitive edge. "Every aspect of
design must be infused with a company's identity or image in
order to further brand awareness," he said. "Whether we're
designing a website or a graphical user interface, our starting
point is to thoroughly understand our client's mission, their
products or services, and their target customer. With that
foundation, we're able to bring clarity to the design process and
provide our client with the services he or she needs on time and
within budget."
Organi Studios offers a wide variety of services that range from
corporate identity and website design to packaging and concept
design. However, the company may be best known for its animation,
motion graphics, and illustrations. While Gramblin and his
colleagues are masters of 3D computer-generated graphics, his
roots are in traditional animation. With a degree in
International Animation from the Rocky Mountain College of Art
and Design, Gramblin studied under Sam Fleming, one of the
original "Charlie Brown" animators, and Barry Nelson, one of the
original "George of the Jungle" animators. "We're proud of our
ability to think outside of the box and provide our clients with
unique visual representations that capture and promote the
essence of their company or brand," Gramblin said.
That talent is one of the reasons that 80 percent of Gramblin's
work comes through referrals. Understanding the nuances of the
American marketplace is another. "Our designs make an impact in
the consumer's mind and wallet," noted Gramblin. "There's no
doubt that this gives our clients an edge over their
competitors."
